for you sos i got it right but i read this today: >> cenk: now do you understand that? the clinton era rates are 39.5 wear. all along, president obama was saying i'm taking away the bush tax cuts, we're going back to the clinton era rates right? all of a sudden not really going back to the clinton era rates. that's why i was saying you know what, they might increase the rates because president obama has said it way too many times not to increase the rates at all, but although as we've sheen you, they've also hint haded they might lower rates. he's not going to go back up and take the bush tax cuts away. the final might be 37%. politico same reporting as the wall street journal on that. they say it might be about $1.2 trillion in tax increases. they say realistically it could be closer to a trillion dollars. that's similar to what we've been hearing. the democrats are supposed to have leverage, but looks like they'll get the same trillion dollars that president obama has always been asking for. finally, or two final notes on this we've got the $1.2 trillion in cuts that we might be gett

're right. biden and obama don't have a great record on this. let's bring in a different point of view. you and i agree we're optimistic about the laws that we hope it goes in the right direction and spreads across the country. i'll bring in sandra, a member of colorado concern. i don't believe she shares our point of view. what is your take on legalizing marijuana in colorado. >> good evening cenk, happy to be here. i represent the business community, and we're very concerned about the passage of amendment 164 and it's implication for business and for colorado. >> cenk: why? >> that's our concern. >> cenk: i don't get that? i guess if you represent the alcohol companies you might be worried about competition but why the business. >> we're concerned about productivity our liabilities our obligations and relationship to our employees. it changes the relationship. we have established a constitutional right to use marijuana, and that changes the game. we have concerns about that. >> what she is saying is drug testing in the workplace. that will be moot. we won't have to worry about people losi

. their pastor told them, or they think they're doing it right the other half are literally insane. we have 25% of the country saying oh, my god, 21 is coming and it's because of acorn and obama stole the election and put it on mars! you're insane! 49% of them think this. oh unbelievable! all right now we turn to the second issue general petraeus. now he was, of course, caught with the mistress, etc. his career is done. but before it was done, when he was in afghanistan and president obama was offering him as head job of the c.i.a. the head of fox news sends an fox news analyst to interview him and then delivers the real message. >> i got something to say to you, by the way. >> no one else was in the room i hope? >> well, directly to advance is-- >> i'm not running. >> that's not the question at this time. he said if offered chairman, take it. if you're offered anything else, don't take it. wait six months and run for president. >> cenk: that's amazing. that's the head of fox news. republican party tell general petraeus to take joints chief job that's offered. if the c.i.a. is taken, don't tak

it to politico in the middle of the campaign. he talked about israel and his love for it, and he's a right wing hawk on that issue. he doesn't like unions because god for bid he should make $19 million instead of $20 million. he said, a second obama term would bring government vilification of people that were against him, he thinks he would be at the top of that list and contend that he already has been targeted for his political activity. now what does he mean by that? well, you see the government is investigating his company for violation of the foreign corrupt practices act. in an alleged scheme to bribe bribe chinese officials. now if he gets the republican government as president and more republican congressmen senators, etc. what do you think happens to those charges after he gives them $150 million. if they continue though charge then you have not paid attention to what has been happening in the united states of america. on the other hand if a democrat wins then adilson gets vilification. you see this? he has an enemy's list. i'll make a prediction right here. if they bring these charge

change a little bit later, but i want to start with budget proposal. president obama came up with a new proposal. it's the same as the old proposal. you know why? the republicans did not have a new one. all right i'll resubmit it for you. $1.6 trillion in tax increases over ten years. $50 billion in immediate stimulus spending. he was rubbing their nose in it, yeah i want more stimulus. how do you like me now. no congressional votes to raise for debt ceiling and $400 billion in long-term savings from medicare. republicans, conservatives oh, they're we side be side themselves. >> the proposal delivered by secretary geithner was not a serious proposal. >> it was not a serious proposal. >> we got to get serious here. >> serious decisions. >> say it isn't so, mr. speaker. >> serious matter. we're being serious. this is not a serious offer. >> this is an insulting deal. >> this is not a game. >> i'm not trying to make this difficult. >> that offer yesterday was simply not serious. we're not going to increase tax rates. >> and that's just the way it is. >> cenk: i love that. >> seriously. >>

on winning the tax cuts for the top 2%. >> cenk: what if they do it. what if obama comes in and says i made the grand bargain, what are you going to do? >> we'll be gravely disappointed in that, gravely disappointed. quite frankly we believe the president is moving in the right direction. we believe that in this point of time the more noise, the more meetings we hold and the more people we mobilize, the stronger the possibility that the president will stay true to his commitments to the american people. >> cenk: talking about entitlements and medicare and medicinemedicaid. >> let's go for the big deal. let's say something that we can say for the 10, 20 years period for the first time our country is on the right sustainable fiscal path. the only way to get that done is for republicans to step back and get mercifully criticized by grover norquist and the right and the democrats will criticize on the left. >> cenk: they're going to cut medicare and medicaid. it's 100% guarantee. what are you going to do then. >> i don't believe it's 100% guarantee. the stronger we are as progressives, on the s
